Brief Introduction to Skill

HP = hit points/health points, your red bar

SP = stamina points, your blue bar

Voyage:
The Voyage skill level influences the available special skills that can be purchased at the skills master npc and the available types of ships. Voyage on the high sea will Increase your voyage experience and raise your skill level. The voyage special skills include alert, pursuit and full-speed.

Alert:
Using the alert special skill will consume 30 SP and will last for 10 continuous seconds. This increases 5 seconds with every upgraded level. this skill will temporarily Increase the damage to an opponents hull from your cannon fire and will decrease any damage taken to your ships hull from the opponents cannon fire, however the skill will cause you to sail at a low speed of three knots for its duration.

Pursuit:
Using the pursuit special skill consumes 30 SP and will last for 10 seconds. This increases 5 seconds with every upgraded level. this skill will Increase your ships speed temporarily. However, the damage to the ships hull from your opponent will increase. The hit rate of your cannons will decrease. To use the special skill you will first need choose a target.

Full Speed:
Using the full speed special skilll consumes 30 SP and will last for 10 seconds. This increases 5 seconds with every upgraded level. The full speed skill greatly increases your speed temporarily. However, you will not be able to attack with your cannons. The skill can only be used when your sails durability is below 60%.

 

Eloquence:
Eloquence level will influence your ability to bargain and get a better price and also purchase higher level goods from the traders stall/bourse that can be found in most cities, Players can make a profit by selling scarce articles in a city. However the profit is not invariable. It depends on the supply and demand for the articles in the city, the trends of valuable goods changes every hour. Profit from trade and experience gained in eloquence is proportional. Only attaining profit by selling articles purchased from one trader stall/bourse and sold to another, eloquence experience and shipbuilding experience can increase. The experience won’t increase if the article was given to you from other players or picked by the road/looted. Special skills in eloquence include Purchasing, Negotiation and Vendition

Purchasing:
The Higher your characters purchasing level is allows you to purchase the higher level goods.

Negotiation:
Negotiation is a passive skill. It will decrease the amount of silver you can be extorted out of when attacked by the pirates, the higher the level the lower the cost to bribe the pirates.

Vendition:
Vendition is a passive skill. With each upgrade of the skill comes an increase to the kinds and quantities of articles you may sell in your booth.

 


Sea Battle
Sea battle level influences the battle skills usable in the sea battle. Battling on the sea will increase the sea battle experience and then upgrade the sea battle level. The open sea battle special skills are cannon fight, ramming and grappling.

Cannon Fight:
Cannon fight is a passive skill, influencing the cannon level and the cannon hit rate. As long as you have cannons and cannon balls, you can engage in a cannon battle. Different cannons fire different ranges, have different shooting angles and loading times. There are many kinds of cannon balls. Their damages to the ships hull, sail and sailors are different. When the hull durability drops to zero, the ship will sink. Sail durability decides the speed of ship. The quantity of sailors reflects in the size of the opponents battle force when your boarding him by grappling his ship and with the speed of a ship. When the health of the sailors pool reaches zero, the ship will wreck. Click the cannon ball icon between the two loading bars to change the type of ammunition your crew will fire in the next volley.

Ramming:
Using the ram special skill will ram the target, this will consume 10 SP. It influences the ship’s ram level, to use the skill you need to choose a target first. The skill can only be used if your ship is equipped with a ram. If the ram is successful, the damage caused to the opponent is great. Damage reflects the ram level and the ships speed. After successfully ramming, the ram durability will decrease.

Grappling:
Use this special skill to grapple your target, this will consume 10 SP. It influences the ship’s grappling level and the success rate of grappling. To use the skill you will need to choose a target first. When two ships are close, the skill can be used. However, you should equip the grappling kits first. The success rate of grappling relates to the number of the sailors on the ship. After successfully grappling, you will enter the close quarter battle scene on the ships decks. The captains and 5 sailors participate in the battle. The 5 sailors attributes are decided by the captain’s character attribute and the number of healthy sailors on the ship. There are three attacking aims in the scene, the opponent sailors, the grapple and the opponent’s ship mast. The mast durability reflects the ship hull durability. When you kill out the opponents and damage their mast, you triumph. If the grapple is damaged, the close quarter battle is over, and you will go back to the sea battle scene. Both the ships will loss some sailors.

 

Bare Handed
Bare-handed fighting influences your characters hit rate, basic attack and basic defence when you are bare-hand. It also influences your dodging rate, Max HP and Max SP. Bare-handed fighting against animals and monsters will increase your experience points and upgrade your skill level. You need 5 navigating skill levels and then you can learn the skill.

 

Sword Playing:
Sword-playing influences the hit rate and the attack when you are equipped with a sword. It also reflects the level of sword you can use. Having a sword equipped while attacking animals, monsterand npc's will increase your sword-playing experience and upgrade your level.

Stab:
For twenty minutes after using the stab skill your targets accuracy will decrease, you will still cause your normal attacking damage to your target.

Critical stab:
Critical Stab is a passive skill. You can stab the enemy’s vitals, and you will give him a normal attack at the same time.

Launch Stab:
For twenty minutes after using it, your attack will upgrade, but your attack speed will decrease.

Sword Dance:
Using the sword dance skill on a target causes you to produce a combination move with 5 heavy hits


Falchion Playing:
Falchion-playing influences the hit rate and the attack when you are equipped with a falchion. It also reflects the level of falchion you can use. Having a falchion equipped while attacking animals, monsterand npc's will increase your falchion-playing experience and upgrade your level.

Power Slash:
For twenty minutes after using the power slash skill your targets defence will decrease, you will still cause your normal attacking damage to your target.

Lightning Slash:
Lightning slash is a passive skill. Attacks the target twice, however, the second attack is less powerful.

Fury Slash:
For twenty minutes after using the fury slash skill your speed and accuracy will increase, however, your defence will decrease.

Soul of Saber:
After using Soul of Sabre, if you are attacked, you will attack back immediately. The damage is 50% more of that from a normal attack. You can counter attack several targets at the same time.

 

Axe-playing:
Axe-playing influences the hit rate and the damage when you are holding axe. It also decides what axe lvl you are able to equip. Equipping an axe to attack animals / monster will increase axe-playing experience allowing you to upgrade the skill level.

Thunder Hack:
For 20/30 seconds after using it, your targets dodging rate will decrease, and you will give deal him normal damage at the same time.

Block:
It is a passive skill. Block the enemy's attack and decrease your damage taken.

Defensive Stance:
For 20/30 seconds after using it, your defense will Increase greatly. However, you can't attack and move. Once you move, the function will disappear.

Rage of God:
Play out an attack with all your power. your damage to target will be high. And to some extent, it will cancel opponent's defense rate.

 

Shooting:
Shooting influences the hit rate and the attack when you are equipped with a gun. It also reflects the level of gun you can use. Having a gun equipped while attacking animals, monster and npc's will increase your Shooting experience and upgrade your level.


Wounding Shot:
30 seconds after using it, your target can't run, and still deal the normal amount of attacking damage.


Rapid Fire:
It is a passive skill. It can let you shoot with a higher rate of fire.


Sniping:
It can deal the target extra damage in attack, but the aiming time will be longer.


Kiss of Holy Gun:
20/30 seconds after using it, you can shoot with greater accuracy,
(and the hitting rate of being attacked remains above 33%.) no idea what this means?
You can't move while using this skill. If you move, the skill will stop working.

 


Medicine:
Influences the potion effect. Grants the ability to cure and poison yourself and others. After learning the skill, using a potion will increase medicine experience and then upgrade your medicine level. The medicine special skills are healing, poisoning and blood rage.


Healing:
Using healing potion can recover your targets HP. The effect is decided on the healing level every extra level upgraded, will see a one point increase.


Poisoning:
Poison on the weapon or relieve poison for the poisoned.


Blood Rage:
Using it will consume 30 SP. Increases the attack speed temporally. And also you will consume 20 HP. Every extra level upgraded.
